Károly Szadai, coordinating member of the Media Council, graduated from the University of Pécs, Faculty of Communication and Media Studies. Between 2000 and 2008, he was chairman and later deputy chairman of the Hungarian Radio Public Foundation's Board of Trustees. Between 2008 and 2010, he was chairman of the Supervisory Board of Hungarian Radio Ltd., and later of Duna Media Service Provider Ltd for almost a decade from 2011. He is specialised in domestic and anglo-saxon media, infocommunications and social media. He is also a founding member of the International Children's Emergency Service and has been a member of its board since 1990. He speaks English at an advanced level.
