Dr. Levente Nyakas (LLM), Head of Department (PhD) graduated from Eötvös Loránd University with a law degree in 1997 and from the Faculty of Humanities of ELTE with a degree in communication in 2002. He was a staff member of the National Radio and Television Board from 1997 to 2003, and a researcher at the Institute for Applied Communication Studies from 2004 to 2010, where he conducted international comparative legal research. He received his PhD in 2018 at the Doctoral School of Law and Political Science of Széchenyi István University. Within media law, his main research interests are European audiovisual regulation, media pluralism, the protection of minors, the regulation of commercial communications and the legal problems generated by new media.
