He received a research biologist degree at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of University of Novi Sad in 1985 and simultaneously he was studying Hungarian literature at the Faculty of Humanities. He worked as a journalist (correspondent for Baranya County) of the daily paper titled Magyar Szó until 1991, from January 1992 he worked as an expert of the Balkan countries, then he conducted comparative sociological surveys among the four largest Hungarian communities living abroad (Transylvania, Upper Hungary, Lower Hungary, Sub-Carpathian region). He participated in the Strategic Researches and Analysis Program of the National Radio and Television Commission from 2003, from which the Institute of Applied Communication Sciences evolved in 2005, where he worked as a senior researcher until 2010. His literary works have been published since 1976 in the Hungarian daily papers and periodicals of Yugoslavia. His independent books: Küldetés [Mission] (1988), Három folyó [Three Rivers] (1989), Regénybrikett [Novel-brick] (1994), Az a nap [That Day] (2006). Currently his main research area is the media of ethnic Hungarians living abroad.
